Melancholianna guide

Start Melancholianna by clicking on the New Game option on the home screen. Then we start playing; it is very simple, Melancholianna moves between screens from right to left and enters other areas of the game through doors, where up arrows appear to indicate where we want to go. For the collection of items is also done by placing the character on the item and notifications will appear. The items are collected automatically.

The goal is to collect all the items in order to get out of the prison.

Start

Our main character will wake up in a cell, you must go to the door and press the up button when the arrow appears on the door. Explore the door that appears on this screen without any problem. There is a lockbox there that will ask for a key to open, exit again and head left.

Spider

Here we will see the first enemies, the 2 spiders that appear jump to attack you. The spider on the left jumps to the right and the spider on the right jumps to the left. To avoid the first one you must continue to the left and go back. The second one you just have to keep going without stopping, increasing your speed.

On the next screen there are 3 spiders. The first one goes to the left, avoid it by passing it and quickly going back. The second one jumps to the right, then go straight just before the last one jumps and you go back. Continue to the left.

You will find a screen with 2 doors: The one on the left is not necessary to explore, in the one on the right you will find the key that opens the lockbox at the beginning.

You have collected your first item. Go to the right to go back to the door where you will find the lockbox that needs the key to open. You will have to go through the spider area again. In the lockbox is a box of matches, this is your second item. Go back to the left through the spiders and at the end you will find a giant spider in its web. Before you get too close the “?” notification will appear to use the matches to set it and its web on fire. Continue walking to the left.

After killing the giant spider, go left and go up the stairs. You will find the second checkpoint to save the game. Head to the left, you will find a door, open it and you will see the yellow ore, collect this item. If you continue to the left you will see a wall with a mechanism that needs a key to be opened. Go back to the right and one screen past the second checkpoint, you will find another door. In this area there is a wall with a hole, if you want to explore it you will lose but the second character will appear: Pervert man.

If you decide to lose, you will appear at the second checkpoint. If not, exit through the same door and in both cases go to the left, you will find a screen where there is a picture of a landscape and a door. In that door there is a library and a scale. You can leave the yellow ore you collected there. Go out the door and head left again. You will now find 3 lockers, open them and you will see 3 numbers. 4, 2, 7. Memorize them. You will see a staircase, to continue you must find a crowbar.

Head left again and go to the second checkpoint. At the stairs, go up and head right. You will find a broken wall that notifies you of the need for a hammer. Go back to the left beyond the stairs. You will pass a screen with a painting and a door. After passing through the painting the character will complain. If you wish you can explore by opening that door, there is nothing special but a first aid kit.

In any case, go to the left. There is a door with a password. Type in the number found on the lockers in the back (427). In that room you will find a bar. Item number 4. Go through quickly because in that room you can be attacked by a tentacle that comes out of the ceiling.

When you leave the room, head right to the stairs to go down. You will reach the second checkpoint again.


Fall

You are at the second checkpoint. Go to the right until you find some stairs going down. As you go down head left, you will find some hands attacking you from the floor. Dodge them and continue to the left. Go down the stairs again and head left. Here you will find a bridge-like mechanism that is not enabled. To make it work you need a pipe thread. If you keep walking you will fall down and be eaten by the game creature. If you wish to do so you will return to your last save. If you don’t want to fall, go back to the right, on the next screen you will find the third checkpoint. There is a door right there, enter it.

Lockers

In the next screen there are 3 lockers, in the left one there is a rat that can hurt you.

Continue to the left, now you will find 4 lockers. The third one from left to right is a trap. If you want to see what happens, open it and you will return to the checkpoint. Otherwise don’t open it, in the second locker you will find a hammer, your fifth item. Go back to the right, exit the last room and from the third checkpoint, head left. Go up the first staircase you come across and go to the right, you will pass through the attacking hands again. Go up the stairs and you will get back to the lockers with the visible numbers.

Head left to the second checkpoint and go up the stairs. Continue to the right and you will see the broken wall. Use the hammer and when you enter you will find the pipe thread, the sixth item. Exit that room and head left to the stairs, go down one level. Go left again to the lockers, go down the stairs and again go left into the hand area. Go down the other ladder and on the left, you will find the bridge mechanism. Use the pipe thread to pass. You will find a door, in that room you will find the pink ore: item number 7. Exit that room and head left, there you will find our last big villain. If you want to get closer to see what happens you will return to the last checkpoint. Otherwise, exit that room by going to the right.

Go up the first stairs you come across, go through the hand area again, go back up the stairs you find and you will reach the lockers with the numbers again. Go to the left and at the first door, where there is a painting, enter and you will find the room with the library and the scales. leave the pink ore there. Both the pink and yellow minerals combine to create dynamite, the eighth item. pick it up! Exit the room and head left, go down the stairs, pass through the hand area, go back down the other stairs and continue to the left. You will pass over the bridge and come to where the big villain is. Use the dynamite to finish him off. When it is done in his entrails a key will appear, that is our last item and exit ticket. 

Head right, use the first ladder you see, go through the hand area, climb the next ladder and head left even past the second checkpoint. At the end you will find a wall that is activated by a lever mechanism, use the key you just collected and finish the adventure.
